Terrific vintage 10.5 x 13-inch black and white portrait as Alexei Karenin in 1948's Anna Karenina, boldly signed in black fountain pen in the period of the film. In good condition for its age. Brilliant, eccentric English Shakespearian stage star Sir Ralph Richardson made about 60 forays into film, including the Boris Karloff horror flick The Ghoul (1933), The Return of Bulldog Drummond (1934), sci-fi's Things to Come (1936), The Man Who Could Work Miracles (1936), Clouds Over Europe (1939), Anna Karenina (1948), The Fallen Idol (1948), The Heiress (1949), Oscar Wilde (1960), Exodus (1960), Doctor Zhivago (1965), Khartoum (1966), Oh!  What a Lovely War! (1969), Tales from the Crypt (1972), Jesus of Nazareth (1977), and the fantasy favorite Time Bandits (1981).
