Highly rare inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light green autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition for its age. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan provided here is not included with the signed item. English-born character actor Stanley C. Ridges is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy fans as the beloved professor who becomes the innocent victim of a shooting and has his brain swapped with the gunman's in a revival attempt by Boris Karloff in Black Friday (1940). After the surgery, he steals the show with his Jekyll-and-Hyde-like madman antics!  Elsewhere, Ridges played refined, white-haired men of authority in classic films like Crime Without Passion (1934) with Claude Rains, Each Dawn I Die (1939), They Died With Their Boots On (1941), The Sea Wolf (1941), Sergeant York (1941), To Be or Not to Be (1942), The Suspect (1944), and Possessed (1947).
