Scarce 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fine-tip pen, probably in the 1980s. In good condition. Affable, rubber-legged John Ritter is best remembered for his work on television, most notably his roles as Reverand Forwick on "The Waltons" (1972-1976), and Jack Tripper on "The Ropers" (1979), "Three's Company" (1976-1984) and "Three's a Crowd" (1984-1985). In 1990, something of a comeback year, he starred as Ben Hanscom in the Stephen King horror novel adaptation It and Ben Healy in the cult comedy Problem Child, a role he would reprise in the 1991 sequel. Ritter died tragically of a heart attack at age 54 and his autograph is increasingly elusive in any format.
