Cat. #0031125112: FLORENCE ROBERTS

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rare and uncommonly early fountain pen signature, dating to her stage days in 1907, on a 2x3-inch white card, affixed with photo corners to a 3x5-inch card.  In good condition.  Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the signed card here is not actually included with the item.  Once one of the great beauties of the Broadway stage, Florence Roberts spent her older age in character roles in films, playing warmhearted little old ladies and relatives in the Three Stooges' Soup to Nuts (1930), Make Me a Star (1932), Dangerously Yours (1933), Fast Workers (1933), Cleopatra (1934), the Laurel and Hardy classic Babes in Toyland (1934), Les Miserables (1935), Off to the Races (1937), The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), and Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940).
