Bold vintage black fountain pen signature of the superb African-American bass-baritone, stage and screen star, and civil rights activist on a 4x6-inch pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in February of 1935. In that year, he was filming what would become a legendary performance in Show Boat, released in 1936. In good condition, with some minor impressions made by an autograph elsewhere in the same book.
