Scarce and choice typed note, signed in green fountain pen, on a roughly 5.5 x 6-inch tan sheet of his personal stationery, with good content regarding his paintings of Presidential candidate Dwight D. Eisenhower for the cover and a feature article for the October 11, 1952 issue of The Saturday Evening Post (see the reference image shown here alongside the scan of the autographed piece), mailed to an associate just three days after that classic issue hit the stands. Eisenhower would go on to win the election less than a month later. In good condition, with a toned strip of tape along the upper edge, where the letter had once been affixed to a scrapbook page. Beloved painter and illustrator Norman Rockwell is remembered for his iconic depictions of American life on the covers of The Saturday Evening Post and elsewhere.
