Vintage 8x10-inch black and white publicity portrait, boldly signed in black fine-tip pen in the late 1970s, adding "Thanks for watching 'The Jeffersons'" and her character name from that show, Weezy. In good condition, with one or two minor handling dings, invisible when the photo is viewed head-on, and a JSA third-party authentication sticker in the bottom right-hand corner. The JSA certificate has been taped to the back by the previous owner. No-nonsense African-American character actress Isabel Sanford is best remembered for her longtime portrayal of Louise "Weezy" Jefferson on the television series All in the Family (1971-1975) and The Jeffersons (1975-1985). In 1981, she became just the second black actress to earn a Primetime Emmy Award and the first to win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
