Uncommonly early inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by an inveterate autograph hound in 1963-- his debut year on "The Patty Duke Show" (1963-1966) and decorated with a small Players Directory image. In good condition, with a tiny bit of brushing to one letter in his surname. Character actor William Schallert, who is probably best remembered for his portrayal of Martin Lane on T.V.'s "The Patty Duke Show" (1963-1966), had memorable roles in a mixed bag of A-level favorites and B-level horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and crime flicks, including Mighty Joe Young (1949), M (1950), The Man from Planet X (1951), Singin' in the Rain (1952), Captive Women (1952), The Jazz Singer (1952), Gog (1954), Them! (1954), The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957), Cry Terror! (1958), Pillow Talk (1959), In the Heat of the Night (1967), and Innerspace (1987).  He was also noteworthy on classic episodes of "The Twilight Zone" (1960) and "Star Trek" (1967).
