Cat. #003213: EDITH SCOB

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Highly rare 3.5 x 5.5-inch black and white portrait in her prime, prepared by the actress herself in the 1980s, boldly signed with greetings in French in black ballpoint pen.  In good condition, with gentle wear to the corner tips.  Beautiful, enigmatic Edith Scob achieved cult status as the masked star of Georges Franju's French-language horror masterpiece Eyes Without a Face (1960), in which her father attempts to reconstruct her damaged face with flesh taken from the faces of drugged young women.  This is just the fourth example of her autograph we have ever encountered.
