Cat. #00322221133: MACK SENNETT

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Highly rare and just great vintage inscribed blue ballpoint pen signature  and sentiment on a roughly 4x6-inch tan sheet, acquired in-person by an inveterate California-based autograph hound in the late 1950s. In good condition and excellent for matting with a favorite photograph. Astonishingly prolific producer and director Mack Sennett almost single-handedly invented improvised slapstick screen comedy at the Keystone Film Company, which he founded in 1912, introducing such immortal stars as Mabel Norman, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, Charlie Chaplin, Chester Conklin, Gloria Swanson, Al "Fuzzy" St. John, and Louise Fazenda before moving on to longer scripted films in the early 1920s.
