Highly rare and essentially flawless vintage check to a bank for photographic and other expenses, made out and signed in black felt-tip pen in September of 1972. Encased in a plastic toploader, from which it can be removed, by the third-party authenticator PSA/DNA, which assigned it a "mint" designation. Especially nice due to the absence of the unattractive cancellation marks that usually pervade these checks, beyond a negligible handwritten notation by a teller along the upper area. Brilliant screenwriter and playwright Rod Serling is best remembered as the creator and host of T.V.'s beloved horror, sci-fi and fantasy program "The Twilight Zone" (1959-1964).
