Ultra-rare vintage 3.3 x 5.3-inch matte-finish sepia-tone postcard portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen and dated 1936. In good condition, with a touch of gentle silvering to the area of his jacket. English actor Sebastian Shaw's stage debut at age eight was the beginning of a nearly eight-decade acting career on the stage, as well as in film and television, but he is chiefly remembered for his role as as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi (1983), a performance that suddenly made the 78-year old British performer something of a cult figure around the world. This is one of a very small number of signed photos of the actor we have ever encountered.
