Imperfect but highly rare vintage inscribed blue ballpoint pen signature on a 4x5-inch tan album page, acquired in-person in the 1950s. In fairly good condition, with some light show-through from an ink signature on the opposite side of the leaf, minor edge wear and a patch of toning to the bottom right-hand corner. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Gorgeous, petite blonde British leading lady Susan Shaw, who was groomed for stardom by the Rank Organization, was memorable in films like London Belongs To Me (1948), Holiday Camp (1948), Here Come The Huggetts (1948), Quartet (1949), Pool of London (1951), The Good Die Young (1954), Fire Maidens From Outer Space (1956), and Carry On Nurse (1958). In 1955, she married actor Bonar Colleano and, after his tragic demise in a car crash, she sank into drinking and poverty, succumbing to cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 49.
