Exceedingly scarce vintage blue felt-tip pen signature on a 4.75 x 7-inch orange card, dating to the late 1970s. In good condition and ideal for matting with a favorite photograph. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Terrific Japanese-American character actor Yuki Shimoda was, unfortunately, relegated to stereotyped roles in films and on episodes of classic television programs. He affected a dense accent to play Ito, the titular bonvivant's kindhearted manservant, in Auntie Mame (1958) in his unforgettable movie debut, recreating a role he had created on Broadway. It is noteworthy that, in his day, he was one of the only actors of Asian descent to enjoy a prominent stage career.
