Frenetic, 4'11.5" character actor Johnny Silver, who famously portrayed Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls (1955), went on to play gangsters, plumbers, elevator operators, waiters, cabbies, newspaper stand operators, truckers, and other assorted roles in in an endless stream of films and television programs.
