Extremely uncommon inscribed signature in ballpoint pen on the paper jacket for a promotional copy of the CD Peace and Noise (1997), acquired in-person at a signing event at a Manhattan shop in the year of its release:  "To Nick / Patti Smith".  Accompanied by the original CD in its jewel case, in very good condition.  The jacket itself has some light wear to the corners.  Dubbed "The Godmother of Punk," the talented singer, songwriter, poet, author, and visual artist became a highly influential component of New York City's punk movement, with her debut album Horses in 1975.  She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, the year this CD was signed.
