Scarce vintage fountain pen signature, dated November of 1928, during his stay career, on a 2x4-inch tan card, affixed with photo mounts to a 4x6-inch off-white card. pale green autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition for its age, with some minor toning in spots. Veteran stage and screen actor Sir Guy Standing-- brother of Wyndham Standing, of Dracula note-- specialized in playing crusty authoritarian types, often with in military roles. He is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his work in Double Door (1934), Death Takes a Holiday (1934) and The Witching Hour (1934), and had just completed his first (and last) appearance as Scotland Yard Inspector Neilson in Paramount's Bulldog Drummond series when he died of a heart attack, brought on by a rattlesnake bite.
