Exceptionally rare vintage 3.5 x 5.5-inch black and white matte-finish postcard portrait, boldly signed in the bottom border in black fountain pen.  In very fine condition and superb for display.  Legendary Russian stage actor and director Constantin Stanislavsky is remembered for developing and teaching a style of acting which emphasized physical action as a means of discovering emotional truth.  His school, later dubbed The Method and enshrined in America as the Actors Studio, has influenced generations of performers, including Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe and Robert De Niro.  This is the only example we have ever encountered.
