Extremely rare fountain pen signature of the author of the classic, groundbreaking horror novel Dracula (1897), given in-person in black fountain pen on a roughly 6x8-inch pale grey birthday book page under the banner for November 8th, the day he was born in 1847. Other luminaries who have signed the leaf include Anglican bishop and scholar H. Hensley Henson, operatic mezzo-soprano Louise Kirby-Lunn, actor Hugh Wakefield, and playwright Walter Hackett. In good condition for its age, with a rubber-stamped owner's marking on the verso. The piece is especially rare and desirable, in that most notes and letters by Stoker on the market were written on behalf of actor Henry Irving, and are not actually signed by the former, but the latter. This one is the real McCoy!
