Rare, uncommonly early blue fountain pen signature on a roughly 2.5 x 4.5-inch clip from a light blue autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1940s and encased within a plastic toploader (from which it can be removed) by the third-party authentication service Beckett. In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Iconic B-movie villain and western star Glenn Strange is beloved of horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his portrayals of Frankenstein’s monster in House of Frankenstein (1944), House of Dracula (1945) and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948). He also had supporting roles in The Mad Monster (1942), The Mummy’s Tomb (1942) and The Monster Maker (1944).
