Beautiful silent and early talkie film star Estelle Taylor was noteworthy in While New York Sleeps (1920), Blind Wives (1920), Monte Cristo (1922), The Ten Commandments (1923), Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall (1924), The Alaskan (1924), Don Juan (1926), Show People (1928), Where East Is East (1929) with Lon Chaney, Liliom (1930), Cimarron (1931), Street Scene (1931), The Unholy Garden (1931), and The Southerner (1945). Taylor is also remembered as the wife of boxer Jack Dempsey and as the last person to see her close friend Lupe Velez alive, before the latter's tragic suicide.
