Scarce vintage black fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the early 1950s, during his run as Captain Burke on T.V.'s "Martin Kane" (1950-1952), and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition, with some tape stains, not touching the writing itself. Prolific silent and Golden Age character actor Frank M. Thomas played postmasters, detectives, military men, office managers, attorneys and judges, politicians, waiters, auctioneers, business men, physicians, publishers, and other supporting roles in films like Grand Jury (1936), China Passage (1937), The Man who Found Himself (1937), The Outcasts of Poker Flat (1937), The Toast of New York (1937), Go Chase Yourself (1938), The Mysterious Miss X (1939), Scandal Sheet (1939), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Beware Spooks! (1939), Geronimo (1939), Lillian Russell (1940), Brigham Young (1940), horror's The Monster and the Girl (1941), Reap the Wild Wind (1942), and The Black Robe (1949).
