Rare and excellent vintage black ballpoint pen signature, acquired in-person in the 1970s on the verso of a folded image of the staff of a radio station, on which he presumably appeared. In good condition for its age, with a light bit of soiling to the upper left-hand corner, not touching the writing itself. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the autograph here is not included. It can honestly be said of hulking, electrifying, brawny-voiced singer "Big" Joe Turner that rock 'n' roll would not have existed without him. Have a listen to his hit recordings of "Shake, Rattle and Roll," "Yakity-Yak," "Flip, Flop and Fly," "Corrine, Corrina," and "Chains of Love" and try to resist dancing around as if in the grips of some unseen demon-- We dare you.
