Extremely uncommon inscribed signature in black marker on a 3x5-inch yellow card.  In good condition.  The esteemed, classically trained African-American stage actress of the 1980s decided to develop her natural comedic talents on television, joining the cast of "Saturday Night Live" (1985-1986), becoming the first woman of color to do so.  She also popped up in supporting roles in a handful of films, including Little Man Tate (1991), Sticky Fingers (1988), The War of the Roses (1989), Hangin' with the Homeboys (1991), and Jumpin' in the Boneyard (1992).  In 1994, Vance succumbed to breast cancer, aged only 40, and her autograph is highly rare in any format, this being the first we have ever encountered.
