Extremely rare-- just the third we have ever offered-- vintage blue ballpoint pen signature of the actress best remembered for her portrayal of Ethel Mertz on "I Love Lucy" (1951-1957) on a cover removed from a playbill for John Patrick's 1974 play "Everybody Loves Opal," acquired in-person following a performance. As the piece was once matted up with a photograph of the star, the left and right edges show uneven trimming, and the remainder of the playbill is not present. While the autograph was given alongside a portrait of the actress, the piece has been priced at signature value only.
