Highly rare printed ballpoint pen signature on a 1x6-inch portion of a work document, dating to the 1950s. In good condition, beyond the unusual format, and just the third example of his autograph we have ever encountered. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the autograph here is not actually included. Before his tragic suicide by overdose at the age of 53, swarthy-looking Dutch-born character actor Philip Van Zandt appeared in nearly 250 films, including So Ends Our Night (1942), Citizen Kane (1942), Nazi Agent (1942), Invisible Agent (1942), Hangmen Also Die!
