Rare vintage inscribed, handwritten signed sentiment on a 4x5-inch tan album page, acquired in-person by theater and Hollywood hairstylist Lily Dirigo in the late 1920s, with references to their previous collaborations. In good condition, with a pencil signature of silent leading man Robert Edeson on the verso. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Once a raven-haired beauty and dramatic lead on the Broadway stage, once she withered with age, Helen Ware was the ideal nasty, silver-tongued bat in silent and early talkie films. While she looked about 85, she was only 61 when she died of a throat infection.
