Highly rare 4 x 6.5-inch Warren Publishing Company receipt for artwork review, boldly signed in red felt-tip marker, issued to Marvel employee Alan Kupperberg in about 1969 and recently acquired from his estate.  Publisher James Warren is beloved of fans of the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres for his magazines Famous Monsters of Filmland, Creepy, Eerie, and Vampirella.  While somewhat derivative of E.C. Comics of the 1950s, Warren's line employed some of the best illustrators and writers of the day, and developed a style and feel all their own.
