Rare, bold signature, given in black fountain pen in Tuskegee, Alabama in March of 1906 on a small white card, measuring about 3 x 2.4 inches. In very fine condition and desirable for matting and display. The great African American educator and orator- a leading voice for slaves free under Lincoln and their descendants-- was based at the Tuskegee Institute, a college historically associated with Black students.
