Scarce 8x10-inch black and white publicity portrait for On Borrowed Time (1939), boldly signed and inscribed in black felt-tip marker in his later years. In good condition. Child actor Bobs Watson entered films at the age of two, and, sprouting up onscreen, proved to be a marvelously effective performer, capable of evoking deep laughs and stirring bona fide sadness. He had small roles in Our Gang shorts and Dr. Kildare films of the 1930s, and was memorable in Show Boat (1936), Boys Town (1938), The Story of Alexander Graham Bell (1939) and the tearjerker On Borrowed Time (1939). Later in life, he popped up in a bit part in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), and appeared on episodes of "Bonanza" (1962), "The Twilight Zone" (1963), "The Virginian" (1963), and "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1964-1967) before abandoning acting to become a minister.
