Highly rare vintage 8x10-inch double-weight publicity portrait of the legendary jazz drummer inundated by a pile of fan mail, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the 1930s.  In fine condition, with mild creasing to the background at the top of the image and two spots of staining in the background to the left of his head. Brilliant swing pioneer Chick Webb died of spinal tuberculosis at the age of 34 and his autograph is highly scarce in any format.
