Rare handwritten, signed 1928 letter in black fountain pen on a 4.5 x 5.5-inch sheet of off-white stationery. In good condition, with a light mailing fold. The year before penning this document, British playwright, novelist and poet Peggy Webling created the play version of Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein-- first naming the creature after its creator!-- which became the basis for James Whale's 1931 film adaptation, starring Boris Karloff.
