Scarce and terrific 8x10-inch sepia-tone portrait as no-nonsense Jungle Jim, his very first post-Tarzan film in 1948 and a much-beloved "B" flick based upon the comic strip by "Flash Gordon" creator Alex Raymond, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the 1940s. In good condition, with a few minor surface creases. Five-time Olympic gold medal swimmer-turned-Hollywood film star Johnny Weissmuller was the sixth, and undoubtedly the most popular actor to portray Tarzan on the screen.  A bit of trivia: It was Weissmuller who gave the character his trademark ululating jungle call.
