Rare inscribed, handwritten letter in black fountain pen on a roughly 6x8-inch sheet of stationery, arranging a meeting with an associate, boldly signed in black fountain pen in June of 1939, the year the coming storm of World War II inspired him to pen The Fate of Homo Sapiens. In fine condition, with light mailing folds, and the signature itself excellent for matting with a favorite photograph. Fantasy and science-fiction master H.G. Wells is remembered for his groundbreaking novels The Time MachineThe War of the WorldsThe Invisible Man, and The Island of Doctor Moreau.
