Scarce vintage 8x10-inch black and white Universal Studios publicity bust portrait, circa 1940, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen. Pinholes in all corners; also, scattered handling dings and a very light horizontal crease, which are not visible unless the photo is tilted towards a light source. The handsome actor appeared in only seven films between 1931 and 1946, before mysteriously vanishing from the screen. Among that handful of roles, he played Hugh Renwick in Werewolf of London (1935), making this virtually non-existent autograph especially desirable to fans of the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genre.
