Pulitzer-prize winning playwright Tennessee Williams penned some of the last century's best-loved plays, many of which, notably "A Streetcar Named Desire", "The Glass Menagerie", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", "Summer and Smoke", and "The Rose Tattoo", have been turned into highly regarded films, some of which he helped adapt to the screen.
