Cat. #0058132: ROBIN WILLIAMS

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

From the collection of an indefatigable California-based autograph hound comes this trimmed-away portion of an original 1978 black and white publicity portrait as Mork from Ork, measuring 7x5 inches, with a snipe on the verso announcing the premier of the series, boldly signed in-person in blue felt-tip marker in the late 1970s. Possibly trimmed, as noted, for framing purposes; otherwise, in good condition. After gaining fame as the titular extra-terrestrial on T.V.'s "Mork and Mindy" (1978-1982), legendary funnyman Robin Williams both enchanted and moved audiences in a number of beloved comedy, drama and fantasy films, including Popeye (1980), The World According to Garp (1982), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988), Dead Poets Society (1989), Cadillac Man (1990), The Fisher King (1991), Hook (1991), Disney's Aladdin (1992), Toys (1992), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1985), Awakenings (1990), The Birdcage (1996), Jack (1996), Good Will Hunting (1997), Flubber (1997), What Dreams May Come (1998), Patch Adams (1998), Jakob the Liar (1999), Death to Smoochy (2002), One Hour Photo (2002), Night at the Museum (2006), and Happy Feet (2006).  Long plagued with depression and substance use issues, the Oscar winner committed suicide in 2014, reportedly prompted by a recent diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease.
