Scarce vintage 3.25 x 5.5-inch black and white portrait, neatly signed and inscribed in black felt-tip pen in 1973. In good condition. Brilliant Broadway composer, lyricist, composer, and arranger Meredith Willson-- a master of incorporating folksy dialects, wordplay and ambient sounds into his impossibly catchy tunes-- is remembered for the scores to "The Music Man" (1959) and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" (1960). In addition to a Grammy Award for the original cast album for "The Music Man," he snagged two Oscar nominations for his scores for The Great Dictator (1941) and The Little Foxes (1942).
